Weatherman

It's freezing! Now that the snowstorm is past, skies are clear but temperatures are dropping, as low as -5. Since a snowstorm was seen to hit our area last Monday, I began monitoring the news and the internet.

It's amazing how storm teams work. Besides the temperature, they also tell how many inches of snow will be expected and the time, like an ETA. They have live animated radars available on their websites. You don't have to wait for the news on tv. They even have a weatherblog for crying out loud! I really like it! They are so detailed and the weathermen answers comments and questions posted.

All information are available under your fingertips. You can't say you're not prepared. I went to the grocery store the night before the storm, and everybody was stocking up, water, food, shovels, flashlights, etc. Salt trucks were ready, waiting for the first snow fall before they can salt the roads. And on local tv channels, you will see schools and offices that will be closed, even public meetings that will be cancelled.

Thanks to our weathermen who are doing a great job!

(I wish the Philippines can further advance its weather technology. May "PAG-ASA" pa ba? )
